Duplicate routes displayed in Delete route

I import a GPX file as a route using Routes -> Import route -> In GC mode. This is the only route I have in qtVlm. When I then go to delete the route using Routes -> Delete route qtVlm shows me two identical routes. I delete one of the two identical routes and then the route stays visible not he chart but is not selectable (I can't click on it to operate on it). However I can use Routes -> Edit route and select the remaining identical route and the Route settings windows appears (but still no Statistics or Histogram data is displayed for my route).
