QTVLM AIS on Internet

Hello / bonjour a tout,

I am still learning AVTLM and have various installations running Visit My Harbour raster charts. 

The tablet and phone versions are up and running and working well, fully interfaced with onboard equipment.

I also like to run a version on my desktop at home for monitoring and plannig purposes.

On the desktop I would like to use the AIS from internet function but am having no success. I have checked the share position box but do not have GPS on my desktop (I have placed the vessel on the chart close to her actual location) but an getting no AIS targets on the screen.

Have I miss understood the function or am I not using it properly? Any advice or pointing to a resource beyond the manual would be really appreciated.

If you have no gps then you must start the simulation mode to get the ais targets : Alt+S
