Android app freezes after switching apps

Hi! I bought the full android app a couple weeks ago and like it very much. There is however a problem with the app freezing when I switch to another app and then back to qtvlm. I have to close qtvlm and start it again to let it work again. This is very annoying. Are there any solutions for this? I run android 13 on an tablet.

That is strange and you are the first one reporting such a behavior. What do you mean by "freeze", the app shows but do not respond anymore, a black screen or just do not show up?
What kind of charts and any other useful details are loaded when you send qtVlm to background ?

Hi Philippe, thank you for the reply! It will indeed show the app but won't respond to any input. Right now no offline charts are installed, only online openseamap. It happens in all sorts of situations, not only when performing a specific action (like routing) or when certain features are loaded. I hope this helps.

Can you switch off Online Charts to see if it comes from that ? In any case you have to wait a bit before the app becomes responsive again because to save memory qtVlm unloads gribs, charts etc when going to background so it can take a (very) few seconds to reload everything.

I tried turning off all charts but still the same issue. I also waited for several minutes but it doesn't 'unfreeze'.

It also happened two times in two days now that all bariers and POI's are deleted. Maybe this is connected with the freeze?
