sails file content

Hi,

Someone can translate me the content of file sample.saildef in english or italian? Giving maybe an example.. Asym could be for example a code zero or Gennaker?
The content is:
1;GV + Genois
2;GV + Inter
3;1ris + Inter
4;2ris + Foc
5;3ris + Foc
6;GV + Leger
7;GV + Assym
8;GV + Sym

I think GV stand for Grand voile = main sail. Others?

This is just a sample. You can edit it and change all the names, add or remove configurations like Main sail with 3 reef and jib, etc.. Then you use the numbers in the other file according to TWS/TWA

You can create your sailselect and saildef manually,but you can also use this excel spreadsheet (see attached: polar_master.xlsx - just remove the .txt extension once you downloaded it). This spreadsheet is fully customizable, just make it yours according to your sail set, boat specs...  Then it gets very usefull  in case you just need to change your saildef ou fine tune your sailselect. 3 main tables you can play with (CODE, HEAD SAILS and MAIN), saildef and sailselect data will adjust automatically. Follow the instructions to create your files and eventually you'll end up with a similar QTVLM sail instrument (see pic attached).
