Currents arrows size was created by zerobeat
Hello and thanks for the ungoing development of an allready great programm. After the
'improvement in currents arrows rendering' in 5.12-15-beta2 I find the currents arrows extremely dominant to the wind barbs. Especially when they are superimposed in two grib slots. Adjusting the size in Grib Configuration is no solution because this also changes the wind barbs and maintains the ratio. I suggest to have another look at the balance in the visualisation of the two parameters to preserve a good view on the overall conditions.
Best regards,
Ruud

Agreed. It is a difficult balance between too small arrows for small currents and too big for strong ones.
Can you try beta3 and see if any better?

Hello Philippe, thanks for your ultra fast reaction. Beta 3 is a significant improvement and works fine for me. However if others find this to small there is still some room to increase the size with probably 30%. This also shows your fight with the balance between high and low speeds. For me the scaling of the arrows does not have to be an exact and liniair representation of the speed. It could be interesting to see what happens if the arrow size changes in 1 knot steps. Another approach could be to give the current arrows a user adjustable opacity. But that is all easy talking from a non-programmer...
Regards,
Ruud

The size of these arrows are not linear but logarithmic, so it increases quite fast at the beginning and the it still increases but slowly to avoid too big arrows.
The other user more interested with low currents values is OK also with this version, so I will leave it like that I think.
