I want to run QtVLM on my boat.  I have a mini-indusrial PC to run it on.  I can run windows or any flavour of linux - 32 or 64 bit.

What are the QtVLM developers/serious racers running please?  O/S inc version and window manager (if linux).

I'm after reliability - minimum glitches, best on screen performance etc.

I could change the hardware if necessary.

Please please, I'm an experienced IT professional, I don't care whether Linux is better than Windows etc.  I just want to copy what the pro's are doing and go sailing....

Hello
your mini PC will run it very correctly. A large capacity of RAM memory can help if you have many maps. The developers could confirm (I m not).
Your hardware depends also of your power supply possibilities : 12v, 220v on a converter, etc

About the use, have a look at this guy and his screenshots in the videos, he sailed solo around the world with qtVlm :  www.youtube.com/@damienjob8257
Another configuration (mine), based on an iPad inside a mini 6,50 where it is not possible to use a PC while sailing :  youtube.com/shorts/d0pkImioJ78?si=HpMT0Cele3kMfwNm
