Smartwatch for companion

Hello,
I'm going to buy my first smartwatch and I would like to use companion. I understood that there's some watch with a closed OS, so i'ts impossible to instal indipendes app.
Could someone suggest some model? I need it for sport and outdoor activities (sailing offshore of course!).

Hi Giano,
Any watch running Android or Android Wear will do. That discards Garmin watches, Apple watches and some Samsung watches etc.
I personally use a tickWatch S but that is just an example.

I didin't know this smartwatch. I like it and has a good price. Is it good?

Good enough for me, probably not the best but it does what I am expecting. Compatible with Companion for sure.

do you know if the Honor MagicWatch 2 is suitable for companion?
Do you think that a 42mm watch is enough or it's way better with a 46mm watch?

Hi Giano,
It's seems to me that the Honor watches are running LiteOS which is not compatible with the Companion...
